    Our Methodology

    The BridgeMethod™

Closing the Gap Between What You Expect and What Gets Delivered

Most software projects fail not because engineers can't code — but because of communication breakdown between what the client expects and what the team delivers. The BridgeMethod™ is how we close that gap.

    What is the BridgeMethod™?

The BridgeMethod™ is Ortem's six-phase delivery framework built specifically for distributed software teams. It bridges the structural gap between US/UK/AU client expectations — clear scope, predictable delivery, transparent communication — and global engineering execution. It has been refined across 150+ projects since 2012.

    The Six Phases

    01

    Discover

    Week 1–2

We start by understanding your business — not just your feature list. Business goals, constraints, risk tolerance, and definition of done. We produce a written scope document and a fixed-price proposal before any work begins.

    02

    Architect

    Week 2–3

A senior architect designs the system for your 18-month growth trajectory: cloud infrastructure, database schema, API contracts, authentication model, and security architecture. No surprises at month six.

    Bridge

    Ongoing

The Bridge is our cross-timezone communication model: a US-based engagement manager owns all client communication during US hours, and a dedicated tech lead owns engineering execution. Two leaders, one unified team, no message loss.

    Sprint

    2-week cycles

We deliver in 2-week sprints with a live demo at the end of each cycle. You see working software — deployed, clickable, testable — every fortnight. Sprint goals are agreed upfront and committed to in writing.

    Quality Gate

    Continuous

Every feature passes our Quality Gate before release: automated test coverage threshold, code review by a senior engineer, OWASP security check, and performance benchmark. Non-negotiable on every sprint.

    Measure

    Monthly

We track and report on delivery health monthly: sprint velocity, bug rate, time-to-resolution, and cost burn vs. forecast. If something is drifting, you know at the monthly review — not at the final invoice.
